January 7th 2010.

Albert is now six months old, his training starts now. I have left it longer than I did with his mother Rosie. He is quite a handful and tends to do what he wants, when he wants. I have allowed him to be the daft puppy, now the hard work starts.
Thursday 14th January 2010, we will be going to our local ring craft class for the first time, I am sure he will enjoy himself. I have done a little standing with him, Emma tells me I need the practice more than Albert.
Rosie is doing great after her litter in July, seems a life time away now. She is becoming an accomplished gun dog, I cant take all the credit. A very good friend and well respected trainer of working Springer Spaniels here in the north, (COLIN FAIRHURST) has done some great work with her. She has become a bit of a celebrity in the local park, people love to watch her doing retrieves and directional work.

I Took Albert to the local ring craft class, he stood really nice. That was the only positive; when I tried to move him, he was more interested in being fruity with the female dogs.
When I returned home, my wife asked how it went, I told her about his poor behaviour, to which she replied, like his dad. I gave Emma a little smile. I was then told don’t be daft I mean Jez, (Sh Ch Mompesson Royal Destiny.) Cheers Mrs Wileman.
