We are Rob and Emma Wileman who live in Low Fell Tyne and Wear with our two beautiful daughters, Holly and Alice. Also part of the family is Rosie our English Springer Spaniel.

When Emma and I decided that we would like to have a dog as a fifth member of our family. The big decision was which breed. Emma had previously owned a West Highland White Terrier and I grew up with Staffordshire Bull Terriers.

A good friend in the village where I was brought up always owned English Springer Spaniels. Something in my mind was drawn to the breed. After many conversations between Emma and I the research began. The whole family visited numerous open shows and I spent endless hours looking at websites.

Decision made an English Springer Spaniel (show line bred) was to become our fifth family member. Also in the back of my mind was, I COULD FANCY A GO AT SHOWING.

In the search for an English Springer Spaniel, show quality bitch, which you would think would be relatively quite straight forward when you know what you want, let me tell you it wasn’t. I spoke to Trudy Topliss, (Beresford) who kindly pointed me in the direction of Bob and Frances Jackson. (Mompesson)
